Summer Fun and Father's Day!

He walks! Eli is getting to be a pro walker, he cruises around the furniture and has no problems letting go and walking away from you to get a toy or other object, he has also learned to go up the stairs. He's still a little tipsy and falls a lot but he's on the move now! He also got his 1st top tooth today, it finally broke through. Those top teeth have been giving him quite a bit of pain lately.

Recently I have suffered a few minor heart attacks because I underestimate Eli's abilities. I left him standing in front of the couch one day and walked outside to help a friend clean up, I was putting toys in a bag when I heard aaahh! I look up and there is Eli, standing on the deck using the house for support. He had followed me outside! I  drop the toy and ran to pick him up, proud that he had done so good, scared that he was going to fall on the hard deck.
I was putting groceries away and he was downstairs in the family room walking around his little saucer play area. I heard a grunt and went to see what was going on and Eli was up one stair and on his way up the second stair! I had no idea he was capable of climbing stairs, now he is almost pro at going up, I won't let him try down yet.

We have been enjoying summer, while Daddy's at work Eli and I get to go swimming, play at the park, hang out with friends, and explore. We miss Daddy a lot when he is at work though and Eli is so excited when he comes home. Jared relishes his weekends though and we pack them with mountain bike rides, motorcycle rides, frisbee, and more. Here are our picture of summer fun!

This was our hike up Neff's canyon, Eli's first time in his new backpack!

Mmmm, Rocks!

This is looking out on Bob's Freeride, a downhill trail that is super fun but a pain in the butt (literally) to get to.

Greg came down and he and Jared went riding at 5 mile road, they had a lot of fun. There were abandoned mines all over the place.

Of courses no ride would be complete without some crazy jumpin' goin' on!

Jared promised me some time Saturday so that I could get things ready for Father's day and prepare my talk and lesson for Sunday. So that night he took Eli for a small hike and then put him to bed. Thank Jared!

What a fun waterfall, wish I was there.
Eli's first swim! He loves the water, we had a blast!

Eli and I enjoying lunch out on the deck! It's so nice to be able to enjoy the outside weather.

 I love BERRIES!

After the berries it required a bath, his second for the day!

Wet and Wild Spring

We are still waiting for summer to come. Since my last post lots of things have happened all over the place. Our beautiful Emmi got engaged! Beau got his call to Hawaii, congrats Beau! Grandma and Grandpa Williams came up to visit, and we were able to watch Claire's dance recitals. Our Claire is one of the most graceful people you will meet! Here is a collection of pictures from our adventures on the few sunny days that May afforded us.

Hangin' out with the girls, quite the little ladies man.

Oh how I love my Grandma!

Who is this guy?

Oh I know him, it my Grandpa! We bonded at Sportsman's Warehouse!

Swinging, and swinging! Thanks daddy for my awesome swing!

Big Blue joins the family before our big 5K run! Eli came in second in the family division running it in 24 and a half minutes and Jared was close behind in third. I came in 10 minutes later at 34 and a half min. It was a fun race and a big accomplishment for me!

Having fun with Cheyenne on Memorial day. Thanks family for a fun time, Jared and I are the bean-bag toss champions!

Oh so cute!

I had a rough Memorial weekend. I got sick with what I thought was food poisoning, but am now learning it might be some weird disease that is going around. It was awful and turned my insides out. If anyone know what weird disease is going around I would be interested to know more about it. Thanks to my wonderful husband who took care of Eli so that I could rest! Were looking forward to summer and vacations, and Jared needs a break from work!
