So much has happene
d since my last post I don't even know where to start. We are going to try this chronologically starting with Pioneer Trek! Jared and I got the opportunity to be Ma's and Pa's on trek, and it was such an awesome experience, the only bad thing was leaving Eli for four days, he did so good with Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Okaylee though! The spirit was strong and the sacrifice that was made by our pioneer ancestors was burned into my heart during the trip. Those stories will forever be a part of my life now and my testimony is stronger because of it. Here are pictures from trek!
| Here we are pushing and pulling our cart, as you can see we had it easy, water and a few personal belongings. |
| Jared and I with Martin's cove in the background. Here the poor handcart pioneers almost gave up when the rescue team finally caught up with them. |
| This is our family, what a good looking bunch of kids (they must take after their Ma :) I was amazed at the testimonies that were borne and the kindnesses that were shown. There is hope for the future! |
Next up is Jared's trip up into the Uintas to a place called Red Castle! You will be able to see why they call it that from Jared's first stunning picture!
| There's snow in the background, but look at the size of that fish. This was one of about 14. |
We also got in a quick bike ride up Corner Canyon, you can see the beautiful Draper Temple in the background.
Next up is Emmi and Hal's wedding, our Moab anniversary trip, Sharla's Birthday, and a pseudo farewell for Beau!
| There's our Beautiful Emmi and her new husband Hal! |
| Getting in on the family picture fun! |
| Isn't he just one of the cutest things you've ever seen! I mean look at that vest! |
| It got kind of hot so playing in the fountain was a must! |
Cuteness coming your way!
Eli takes after my side of the family, no fear of heights here!
Oh this controller takes so much concentration! Thanks for helping me figure it out Ben!
| Hanging out at Sharla and Dirk's place! Celebrating just about everything. It was so fun to just relax and enjoy each others company. |
| Ancient Hieroglyphics on our way to a swimming hole. |
| I can do this, no problem Dad! |
| Mama and her little boy at the swimming hole, Eli just waded in with no fear. The cold water didn't bother him at all. |
| Jared doing a little cliff jumping. |
| What a pretty swimming hole, we really lucked out when we found this! |
| Getting ready for our Moab bike ride with a little McD's breakfast. |
| Jared and Eli with beautiful red cliffs in the background. |
| Dad, mountain biking is so hard, I think I'll take a nap. Eli fell asleep while on the trail, we had to stop so he could get a proper 10 min nap. |
| Jared and Eli standing on top of the second arch in Gemini Arches. |
| There's the arch, I promise there are two there. |
Okay things got a little out of order but here are some pictures of Grandma, Grandpa, and Josies visit to our house.
| Josie loved the swing, she stayed in there for almost an hour! |
| Here is Grandpa explaining the physics of the chair to an eager to learn Eli! |
| Is she going up or just came down? You decide. |
| We loved the bubbles! Too bad the bubble wand didn't work very well. |
| A quick trip to Wheeler Farm. Lucas and Eli feeding the ducks! |
| Josie and Eli playing in the tree house! |
| This goat was so good, it let the kids pet him and he even licked Eli's fingers. Lucas and Eli were just laughing, they thought it was great! |
| Here are all three kids checking out the goat! |
There is a whirlwind update of our last month, so many great experience and memories that we can treasure!
