What a Crazy Month!

So much has happened since my last post I don't even know where to start. We are going to try this chronologically starting with Pioneer Trek! Jared and I got the opportunity to be Ma's and Pa's on trek, and it was such an awesome experience, the only bad thing was leaving Eli for four days, he did so good with Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Okaylee though! The spirit was strong and the sacrifice that was made by our pioneer ancestors was burned into my heart during the trip. Those stories will forever be a part of my life now and my testimony is stronger because of it. Here are pictures from trek!

Here we are pushing and pulling our cart, as you can see we had it easy, water and a few personal belongings.

Jared and I with Martin's cove in the background. Here the poor handcart pioneers almost gave up when the rescue team finally caught up with them.

This is our family, what a good looking bunch of kids (they must take after their Ma :) I was amazed at the testimonies that were borne and the kindnesses that were shown. There is hope for the future!
Next up is Jared's trip up into the Uintas to a place called Red Castle! You will be able to see why they call it that from Jared's first stunning picture!

There's snow in the background, but look at the size of that fish. This was one of about 14.
We also got in a quick bike ride up Corner Canyon, you can see the beautiful Draper Temple in the background.

Next up is Emmi and Hal's wedding, our Moab anniversary trip, Sharla's Birthday, and a pseudo farewell for Beau!

There's our Beautiful Emmi and her new husband Hal!
Getting in on the family picture fun!

Isn't he just one of the cutest things you've ever seen! I mean look at that vest!

It got kind of hot so playing in the fountain was a must!

  Cuteness coming your way!

Eli takes after my side of the family, no fear of heights here!

Oh this controller takes so much concentration! Thanks for helping me figure it out Ben!

Hanging out at Sharla and Dirk's place! Celebrating just about everything. It was so fun to just relax and enjoy each others company.

Ancient Hieroglyphics on our way to a swimming hole.

I can do this, no problem Dad!

Mama and her little boy at the swimming hole, Eli just waded in with no fear. The cold water didn't bother him at all.

Jared doing a little cliff jumping.

What a pretty swimming hole, we really lucked out when we found this!

Getting ready for our Moab bike ride with a little McD's breakfast.

Jared and Eli with beautiful red cliffs in the background.

Dad, mountain biking is so hard, I think I'll take a nap. Eli fell asleep while on the trail, we had to stop so he could get a proper 10 min nap.

Jared and Eli standing on top of the second arch in Gemini Arches.

There's the arch, I promise there are two there.
Okay things got a little out of order but here are some pictures of Grandma, Grandpa, and Josies visit to our house.

Josie loved the swing, she stayed in there for almost an hour!

Here is Grandpa explaining the physics of the chair to an eager to learn Eli!

Is she going up or just came down? You decide.

We loved the bubbles! Too bad the bubble wand didn't work very well.

A quick trip to Wheeler Farm. Lucas and Eli feeding the ducks!

Josie and Eli playing in the tree house!

This goat was so good, it let the kids pet him and he even licked Eli's fingers. Lucas and Eli were just laughing, they thought it was great!

Here are all three kids checking out the goat!
There is a whirlwind update of our last month, so many great experience and memories that we can treasure!

Lake Powell and St. George

We recently returned from a fabulous fourth and and great vacation. Even though the Powell trip didn't go quite as planned, we still had fun there. Jared took the Glen Canyon Dam tour which he totally geeked out about, Eli swam in his first lake and loved it, and we discovered that Eli can sleep in a tent! Then we headed to St. George to have some fun and relaxation with the family. Here is our trip in pictures!
Beautiful Lake Powell
The awesome Dam! That grass is the size of a football field!

On the Dam tour!

Who is that handsome guy, the one on the left :)

Swimming in Lake Powell, Eli loved his little blow up jet ski!

Chillin' in the shade, 105 degrees is a little hot!

Jared captured the Milky Way with his awesome camera.

Drivin' the big truck!

This steering wheel is too big Dad!

We went on a bike ride, Barrel Roll trial to be precise, Jared and Greg went off and I found a spider to photograph. Isn't he cool!

Beautiful right? It's also 103 degrees outside.

Greg showing off his skills!

Eli and Adam had fun playing together. Eli loves the water!

I'm ready to go riding Dad and Grandpa! When are you going to take me?

Eli loves animals and these poor kittens were recipients of his hair pulling love, they did great!

Yankee Doodle slot canyon, the big rappel, actually it's the only rappel, but it sure was fun!
Check it out!

A short drop.

Oh yea, all me!

I just gotta drive something, come on grandpa fix it and let me drive!

Swimming with Mommy and Daddy, he loves the water!

I love my Grandpa!
The rest of the crew, I think we had the better seats.

Fourth of July set up, we're ready to watch the fireworks!

Check out the Rim trails!

Hey who's this guy?

Eli- "I like her!"  Josie- "I'm not so sure about this."
Eli loved seeing his cousin Josie, she on the other hand wasn't so sure. Eli would screech and chase after her and Josie would run away. Several time she would be looking back to see how close he was and she would run into the wall. It was fun to get them together, we're so glad Eli has a cousin close to his age.

Josh's awesome trampoline skills. "Chicks only dig guys with great skills."

We love Grandma, she's the bestest Grandma!
Grandma Donna was so great to watch Eli while Jared and I went and had a little fun. Eli loved his time with Grandma, that's when he took the best naps is when Grandma was watching him. Thanks!
Tooth count is-6, four on top and two on bottom! He is a pro walker now, on flat surfaces he has no problems!
