Easter and Spring 2012

It has been quite amazing to watch our little Eli grow over the last few months, it seems like he's learning in leaps and bounds. We are also excited to announce the coming of a new member of our family, little baby boy is due sometime in the beginning of November. Here are some pictures of our Spring and Easter adventures.

 Eli loves his sandbox! It is by far the best toy that we could have given him. He is constantly saying "sandbox" I'll say "Oh you want to play in the sandbox?" He'll say "OKAY!" Eli was having a off morning, he put my sock on sat down and pouted.

Easter is so much fun with cousin Josie, here they are getting ready for the big Easter egg hunt!

 After we sent Josie to another part of the yard Eli was finally able to gather up a few eggs. What a big boy finding all those eggs!

Well the tulips and Eli look great.

 Here we go to the zoo with one of our favorite friends, Mckynlee! Here we are at the entrance and then at the front of the gorilla exhibit. When we were looking at the giant silver back gorilla I had Eli right up against the glass and the gorilla walked right up to him. Their noses could have touched if the glass wasn't there, it was pretty amazing.

Mckynlee and Eli have so much fun together, their favorite thing was pushing their strollers around the zoo!

Eli loved the turtles, he would follow it as the turtle walked up and down the glass.

Eli and McKinley loved to hang on the bar in front of them, they also loved their special little seat that only they could get to.

Learning and Growing

 Eli is at such a fun stage, watching him learn and grow is so much fun! He has become the human parrot, he copies everything you say so we have to be careful. He is also mastering the "okay". This morning we brought him into bed with us and he comes over to me and says "waffles?" I say, "Do you want waffles for breakfast?" He says, "Okay!"
Here are some of the fun things that we have been able to do recently.

Eli loves to swing! We stopped at the park for some swinging fun.

Check out my hat! Eli doesn't wear hats for very long so I had to hurray and get a picture while he had it on.

We got to go to the Utah Museum of Natural History. A little over Eli's head but we still had fun. We got to go with my cousin Nikki and her son Lucas. Eli and Lucas always have fun together.

Eli loves baths! And not just any bath, bubble baths! When I tell him its bath time his quick response is "Bubble?"

 Eli loves to hang on things, this is the pull up bar in our room. He is quite the strong little guy! Here he is with his Aunt Kay, he loves his Aunt Kay!

Eli's Friends had a birthday party at Jungle Jim's and Eli got his first taste of amusement park rides. Some he liked some not so much.

Flying high with his friend Jayda. Jayda controlled the movement the whole time and Eli was in for a very bumpy ride.

Eli's favorite ride. he loved the Jeeps! He rode this ride three times in a row and cried when I finally took him off.

 For my Christmas present Jared got me a one month membership to a rock climbing gym. They had a dog there that Eli loved. One day he walked up and just laid in front of the dog then he scooted closer, it was really cute. Although when he tried to pet the dog it growled and I quickly moved Eli away.

Eli loves to drive cars, trucks, really anything!

Look at him go, he really started to get the hang of how to climb!

Eli and I go to the Aquarium every month but this is the first time that Daddy was able to come with us.

The stingrays were very obliging and Eli got to touch them several times!

A funny little story

I have to post this before I forget. Our little Eli is getting so smart it's hard to trick him and so big it's hard to move things out of his reach. This morning he found my computer on the couch and so I moved it onto the desk, then went up to make breakfast. Well I put my computer on a paper and although Eli could not reach my computer he could reach the paper so he used that to slid the computer over to him and get it down. Lucky for me he didn't drop it! I was alerted to the problem when confronted with the ominous silence of mischief!
The funniest was when Jared thought he would sneak a cookie and then come down and play with Eli and I. He sat down next to Eli and Eli looks up at him and says, "cookie?" Busted Daddy! We laughed about that one for quite a while.
