Biking and Laughing :)

Warmer weather was with us for a few days so of course we broke out the bikes! We got Eli a new helmet and just had to show it off because he looks so cute. Jared and my brother Spencer also went and did shoreline/bobsled trail and had a blast. It was a bit muddy though and it made the trail a bit more technical. Here are the latest biking pictures:

HE COMES!

SO CUTE!

Jared catching some wicked air! Sweet Jumps!

View from the trail. Don't we have the most gorgeous mountains!

And now for the laughing. Eli is getting such a cute personality, normally he is a very sober child but every once in a while he comes out with some great giggles. Today was an exceptionally giggly day. This morning we were walking around the family room when he spotted this cute green monster poster that my sister Brandie gave him. He got this huge smile on his face and started running towards the monster, giggling as he went along. He thought it was so funny!
Next we were walking up the stairs and he spotted the bathroom. Normally I don't let him go into the bathroom because there is too many things that he wants that he can't have. I decided to let him walk into the bathroom and as soon as he got in he was so excited he started to laugh.
He also likes to go into the garage. The door from the garage squeaks and he laughs every time we go though it.

Eli's first taste of Chocolate!

Yes my little sweetheart got his hands on some chocolate. I had made a dessert with chocolate in it and accidentally dipped a small part of the corner of one of my hand towels in the chocolate, it wasn't bad and they were brand new clean towels so I just hung it back up on the oven door handle. Two days later I was making breakfast, when I do this I put Eli in his walker so he can move about while I make something for us to eat. Normally he follows me around and rams into my feet, it hurts. So when I hadn't felt him for a while I turned to see what he was doing. To my surprise Eli was sucking furiously on the corner of the towel! I quickly pulled it away from him and he gave me that "but why Mom" look. I don't know how he honed in on that bit of chocolate? He never pulls those towels down, and it was just one tiny corner. I just started laughing, what a cute little stinker!

Easter and Spring

We had a fabulous Easter and are enjoying the spring, the warm, the rain, and yes the snow. Here is a quick update on our little family and then on to the pictures. Jared is playing softball again and today they did great other games not so much, but he is enjoying playing. Greg came into town and that meant a basketball game with the cousins, we made it out with only one jammed finger. I finished making my entry table but it needs a second coat of stain. Eli is getting closer and closer to walking on his own. Currently I am having difficulties keeping him out of the flowers. When we are outside that's all he want to do is go over and eat the flowers!

Eli with his Easter Basket!

For play group we did an Easter Egg hunt, all the kids had fun. When Eli got his first egg and we put it in the basket he was fascinated with the egg and it took me a bit to get him to the next egg. Once we found another egg he bent down to get his next egg and happily emerged with a stick! The stick was his favorite part of the hunt.

Our Easter Egg hunt at home!

Eli found his basket!

Jared found his basket!

I found my basket!

My family came over for cinnamon roll for Easter breakfast, then off to church to hear Jared talk in sacrament meeting. He did an excellent job, it was a very though provoking talk and brought the Easter spirit to our Sunday celebration.

Jared and Eli showing off the new backpack! Summer hikes here we come!

 Eli loves his new swing!

Here are some pictures from mine and Eli's adventures to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. We went for playgroup and the colors were amazing. Of course as you can tell from some of the pictures Eli's main goal was to eat the Tulips.

Playgroup Friends

Just such a cute little guy, with those blue eyes and rosie cheeks!

Look Mom! I found a basket!

One of the best snowstorms of the year, luckily it didn't stay long!

Wants to be just like Daddy and ride the big motorcycle.

Showing off his new Easter outfit!

Eli loves shoes, he picks them up and drags them all over the place. When he get a hold of Jared's shoes or my heavier shoes he just walks around in circles because it weighs him down on one side, so he just goes round and round. It is so funny!

Jared helped to organize the painting of this ladies fence, she is one of his home teachies. They did a great job and Jared is really proud of the fence.

Spring, Swings, and Teeth!

We have been working and playing hard lately. Last Saturday we did some work in the yard and things are looking pretty good. Jared was able to get an awesome swing up for Eli. Eli is developing and growing so fast. His balance is getting better and so is his strength, in no time at all he'll be walking. When he is walking with me holding him and he want to go somewhere and I want him to go somewhere else, he turns towards that direction and starts dragging his feet. I need to install the safety latches on the drawers and cabinets soon because once he starts walking there will be no stopping him.
On Sunday we were sitting outside enjoying the weather when I got the hiccups, Eli thought this was so funny, every time I would hiccup is would burst out with a giggle. Wouldn't you know by the time we got the camera my hiccups had disappeared. Here are some great pictures of the last little while:

I just love Eli, front and back! I couldn't resist a picture of his cute little diaper bum and chunky legs.

Eli kept grabbing Grandpa Pete's glasses so we decided to let him try them on.

Just a cute picture of Eli laughing!

Can you see those two little teeth? Trying to get a picture of them is very difficult if you look with a magnifying glass you might be able to see them, because they are there!

Oh look there they are! Okay so not the best picture of Eli, but it was the only way we could get a picture of his two front teeth!

Some of the tulips from our yard, they are blooming and look so pretty.

Look at my new swing!
My awesome Daddy put it up for me.

He had to climb up high and chop down some big branches to make everything safe and good so that I can swing.

Thank You Daddy!

Jared pulling a sweet method! We got an awesome deal through KSLdeals.com and got to go boarding up at the Canyons.

Stephanie attempt at a jump. It looks good now, but that's because you can't see the landing!

See the awesome powder! It was a great day. A big day for me because I left Eli with Grandma for six hours and was able to enjoy myself. Baby steps for me, those four day's in July are going to be hard.
For those of you who don't know Jared and I got called to be Ma's and Pa's on trek! We are really excited and look forward to the experience. Leaving Eli is going to be the hardest thing for me but we are slowing working up to it!
